Why this template exists
You've got 9 to 15 years of experience. You've shipped real things. But six weeks into a layoff, the math starts running in your head at 3 AM. How long can you wait for the right offer? Should you take the first thing? Are you bleeding money on subscriptions you forgot about?
The problem isn't that the answers are hard. The problem is that nobody actually does the math. Pulling 90 days of statements, categorizing every charge, computing burn and runway, that's a 3-hour task most people avoid. So the anxiety wins, and the anxiety pushes you into bad decisions.
This template removes the math from the equation. AI does it in 5 minutes. You get clarity instead of fog.
What's inside the template
The template is a complete, drop-in package: a landing-page concept, a step-by-step user flow, the full AI system prompt, and the six-section output structure. Use it for yourself, or wire it into your own workflow.
Six reasons financial clarity changes a job search. Use this as the intro copy when you build your own version.
Capture, upload, converse, analyze, deliver. One question at a time, never overwhelming. Designed for users under stress.
Spending Summary, Recurring Payments, Runway Analysis, Risk Insights, Recommendations, and a 30-Day Action Plan.
Full system prompt for Claude, ChatGPT, GHL, Lovable, or any AI assistant. Copy, paste, deploy.
Calm, non-judgmental, practical. Built for 9th-grade reading level. No finance jargon, no panic language.
How this fits as a top-of-funnel lead magnet. Email sequence ideas, upsell paths, accountability options.
About the founder
I came to Canada in 2014 with years of international experience at Motorola, Alcatel, Cisco, and Nokia. I thought it would be easy to land a job. I was wrong.
I drove Uber to keep a roof over my family's head. Some days I'd finish a ride and go straight to an interview, still in my suit. The financial pressure was the hardest part. Not the rejections, not the skills gap, the math at 3 AM.
It took me three months to land a contract and five years to land my first full-time role in my field. Today I lead at one of the top IT companies in the world, and I've coached 700+ IT and engineering professionals across Canada and the US.
This template is the tool I wish I'd had in 2014. It won't fix everything. But it will give you back the one thing that matters most during a transition: clarity.
Honest disqualification
No template is for everyone. Here's an honest read on whether this one is worth your 10 minutes.
You're not alone in this
Every Sunday at 11 AM EST, I run a live themed call with senior tech professionals working through the same things you are. Resume roasts, LinkedIn audits, interview hot seats, strategy office hours. Free, recurring, no upsell.
The financial template is the first step. The Sunday call is where you go from clarity to momentum.

Really free. The template is a PDF that delivers to your inbox after you submit the form. No credit card, no trial, no auto-enrollment. The only thing I ask is your email, and that's so I can send the file and follow up once a week with the newsletter. You can unsubscribe with one click any time.
Once a week, on average. The Future Career Weekly newsletter goes out on Wednesdays. Occasionally I'll send a one-off note if there's a Sunday call topic you'd care about. That's it. No daily blasts, no fake-urgency promos.
No. The template is a guide and an AI prompt. You don't upload anything to me, ever. If you choose to use the prompt with Claude or ChatGPT, your data goes to whichever AI tool you're using, under their privacy terms. I never see it.
Probably yes, but with caveats. The template is calibrated for senior tech professionals (32 to 45, US or Canada, $100K+ historical income). The math works for anyone, but the tone and examples assume that context. If you're outside it, you'll still get value, just less calibrated to your situation.
Book a free 15-minute fit call. I'll listen, give you an honest read on whether coaching makes sense for you, and if it doesn't, I'll tell you. No pitch. Email me at [email protected] or visit start.futurecareer.net/15min-fit-call.
Yes. Forward the PDF, or send them this page. The more senior tech professionals who run their own runway math before making a panic decision, the better.
